Exploring Around

Emily invited me to go to the Dallas Fair Park with her and her kids to a little Christmas Event. We arrived and it was so quiet. No one was there. It was perfect! All the activities were free, which involved a petting zoo, snow, and jumping castles. I could not get Sophie away from that jumping castle! It was a little obstacle course, and I was too worried to let her go in by herself. So, I ran through it about 8 times with her and I was dead! I could not keep up with her! Around noon 1 we left and went back home. I waited for Brigham to get home, and then we went to the Irving Christmas Tree lighting. I was a little cold, but so much fun! They had a 30 foot tree and performances. Loving all of this Christmas spirit!!!

Starting Our Own Traditions

Christmas time is seriously my favorite. This is our first Christmas as a married couple and I am so excited! Brigham and I decided that every year on the 1st of December, we wanted to decorate our tree, watch Elf, and drink Hot Cocoa. Every year we want to make a new ornament for our tree. This year I decided to melt crayons in an ornament. I realized that I did not buy glass ornaments and that the plastic melted our ornament. So, we accepted this Pinterest fail and kept it as is. Building memories, one ornament at a time.

A Fun Surprise For All

Holidays are always so busy! After getting back on our normal schedule, I finally have time to get caught up. For Thanksgiving, Brigham and I were going to go to Emily's and Trent's house and enjoy the day with them! The Tuesday before Thanksgiving, Emily had me go to her house to go run to Target with her. I threw on some clothes and left my house. I am rocking a low pony tail and work our clothes. As we are walking into Target, I heard Sophie say "Oh there they are!" I figured she was talking about some Santa decoration that we passed. After realizing that Emily had stopped, I turned around to see my parents!!!! WHAT! They were suppose to be in New York for a few days, but drove all through the night to Texas! I still can't believe it. We had too much fun! Mom, Trent, Sophie and I spent a few hours at Alley Cats. Sophie won BIG! I don't know why she is so lucky. I also hit the Mega Jackpot on a game and Quinn won big as well! We came out with like 28,000 tickets!! We only spent $40 too! Thanksgiving Day! We had the best foods! We ate, played Mario Cart and Tetris, napped, and Crochet. Emily made the greatest Turkey! We have spent too many late nights just hanging out and competing each other in Mario Cart or Tetris. OH, did I not mention Brenda's Casino? That's basically our favorite game! I was so happy to have my parents with me. On Sunday we made a quick trip to Fort Worth to watch the play, Frosty The Snowman. IT WAS ADORABLE. Sophie was so in love with it!! I was sad to say by to my parents on Sunday night, but Christmas is right around the corner.
