Recently Brig and I decided to move into another bedroom because the one we had was just too big and it was located at the end of the house, so it never got any heat back there. Monday night we painted the new room a light grey (I have this obsession with grey). I don't understand how some people hate painting... I love it!! We taped all around the edges, laid out some plastic, played some General Conference talks, and painted away! THE perfect FHE activity. I always struggle to make family home evening happen because it is just two of us and all we really want to do when we get home from work is go to bed. I normally just grab a tub of ice cream (for me) and watch some tv, then when Brig joins, I decide that this counts as FHE. Does it though?? I just keep telling myself it is the though that counts! Well we both picked a talk that we thought we kind of needed to be lectured on. I was a little offended when Brig decided to choose a topic about being happy, but I just told myself that he chose it for himself, not for me. :) An hour and a half goes by and we finally finished up that room! We ran to Wal-Mart to look at a curtain rod and some blinds. I think by this time I was falling asleep just leaning on the shopping cart. I am telling you, I love my sleep! The next day Brig had the day off in between school, so he went to work on that bedroom! Gosh I love him! I came home after a very long day at work, to find out bedroom COMPLETELY done. Curtains were hung, bed was moved in and set perfectly centered in the room (he measured it), bed was all set up, nightstands were all even, floor was picked up, the kitchen was perfect, and the list could go on. Ahhhh I was so happy! I got to come home and take a little nap in our bed and then just eat ice cream and watch some Hulu with my husband. I do not mind having to come home and clean up or do anything, but I do love to come home to a nice clean house. I secretly wish Brig snapped a picture of my reaction.. I think I may have shed a tear or two! I love my husband. I know I say this alllll the time, but days like these are just the best!
